To promote green mobility and reduce carbon emissions, major overseas markets have recently introduced a series of favorable policies for E2Ws, creating a favorable environment for our product exports. Indonesia's government announced a 15% import tax exemption for
electric scooters with local battery assembly in late March, and launched a consumer subsidy program of IDR 2 million (about $128) per unit, which is directly deducted at the time of purchase.
This policy has significantly stimulated market demand—our local distributor in Jakarta reported a 60% month-on-month increase in orders in April. The EU has updated its e-mobility development plan, requiring all member states to install at least one E2W charging station per 500 residents by 2026, and allocating a €300 million special fund to support the construction of charging infrastructure in urban residential areas and commercial centers. Germany has taken the lead in implementing this plan, with Berlin and Munich having completed the first batch of 200 community charging stations in April.
In India, the Ministry of Heavy Industries officially announced the extension of the Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric Vehicles (FAME) scheme for another three years, with a total budget increased to ₹10,000 crore (about $1.2 billion). Under the new scheme, subsidies for high-speed E2Ws have been raised from ₹15,000 to ₹25,000 (about $300) per unit, and the scope of subsidies has been expanded to include models with a battery capacity of more than 2kWh. Notably, the scheme explicitly prioritizes public procurement of Chinese-manufactured electric two-wheelers that meet Indian BIS certification standards, which provides a huge market opportunity for our products.
According to the forecast of the India
Electric vehicle Association, the country's E2W sales are expected to reach 12 million units in 2025, and Chinese brands are likely to occupy more than 40% of the market share. These policy incentives from various countries are expected to drive China's overall E2W exports to exceed 30 million units in 2025.
